Motorcycle racer and team owner Valerie Thompson (https://www.valeriethompsonracing.com) will attend various motorcycle classes at TEAM Arizona’s rider training facility in Gilbert, AZ, this year.  She is attending these motorcycle classes in support of Women in Motorcycling month, and to show that motorcycling is truly open to participation by women.

Valerie’s support of women in motorcycling is an ongoing effort by her to increase the exposure of women in the sport.  In 2011, she was awarded the American Woman Riders Community Hero Award by the American Woman Riders Association.  Valerie’s racing accomplishments and community support of the HopeKids children’s charity were key criteria for award selection.

In March, Valerie attended TEAM Arizona’s Introduction to Motorcycling.  The moment of surprise came at the end of the course when she announced her participation in motorcycle racing.  Several students were left gobsmacked, and quite a few were inspired to continue their path towards earning their motorcycle endorsement.

Later this year, once Valerie concludes her racing season, she will rejoin TEAM Arizona for advanced rider training, including the Total Control Clinics.  With Valerie’s positive attitude, and her position that one never stops learning and can never have enough training, we can’t wait to have her out on the range!
