Greg Marbach

Any chemists out there?  Have you figured out what “FE BT” on Greg’s license plate means?  For the long distance riders out there, it will be obvious.  Any rider with the cojones to put IRON BUTT on their vanity plate must love to ride, can back it up with tales of the road, and doesn’t fear ridicule in the least.  It is his fearless leadership on the training range that caught our attention and made him our RiderCoach of the Month for June 2013!

Greg has split his time evenly between the Gilbert, Glendale, and Go AZ ranges.  He’s no stranger to putting on the miles as he has more than 375,000 on different FJR 1300 motorcycles (currently owns three!).  The FJR1300 is his love, but his dream bike would be a MOTUS.
When Greg’s not on the range, it is no coincidence that you may find him stuffing his face in Scottsdale at a popular place called Portillo’s.  He hails from Vail Park, Illinois, and can’t resist that Midwest favorite.   His favorite overnight ride takes him up the Lodge at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

He has several interesting insights on his coaching career:

  • I take great satisfaction in sharing my riding passion with folks entering motorcycling.
  • My biggest challenge is realizing not everyone is meant to ride a motorcycle; I’ll do my best to make it happen though!
  • I truly enjoy seeing the smiles on peoples faces; keep that positive attitude and have FUN with it!

Please, take time to wish Greg well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS!  We here at TEAM Arizona are proud to have him as part of the family!
