Mark Handy is TEAM Arizona’s RiderCoach of the Month for August 2012!
Last Updated: April 1st, 2024
Mark Handy, for more than seven years, has traveled between Sierra Vista and Tucson to provide some top-notch RiderCoaching.
Born in Indiana, Mark started riding in 1971 on a Honda 90 in Michigan dunes. Today he sports a 1998 Honda Shadow Ace 1100.
With respect to coaching, Mark’s goal is to help people avoid the mistakes he made when he started riding. His biggest challenge as a RiderCoach has been talking less and sticking to the cards. Talking less allows students to connect the dots for themselves. He considers it a job well done when a student recognizes their mistakes and corrects the mistakes on the fly.
Here are some fun facts about Mark:
- Favorite ride is up to Hannagan Meadow.
- He loves to ride over the Tucson Mountains and into the Saguaro National Park.
- Singular tip for all riders; continue to S.E.E. to stay involved and concentrate on the ride
Please, take time to wish Mark well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS! We here at TEAM Arizona are proud to have him as part of the family!
