Twenty two years of RiderCoach service.  Think about that for a moment.  How rare is it that anyone performs any function for more than two decades?  Presented with this astounding accomplishment, PauL Bober would deflect and humbly reply, “It was my pleasure.”

PauL plays a hugely important role at TEAM Arizona.  He is our RiderCoach Facilitator which means he has the duty of making sure our RiderCoaches are performing at their peak abilities.  For the past two RiderCoach workshops, he spent many hours getting new recruits prepared for the realities of being on a range.  He’s provided endless numbers of hours in preparation and execution of our annual Fall training updates.  His willingness to contribute to the success of TEAM Arizona seems endless.  To these comments, he’d simply respond, “It was my pleasure.”

This month, PauL, we get to say,”IT IS OUR PLEASURE!”

PauL started riding in 1976 when he acquired employment at a local dealership.  He likes telling the story about his first MSF course at Scottsdale Community College.  He says in a reflective manner, “I failed to listen to anything my Instructors said as I had been riding for 14 years already. I knew it all and only wanted to get through the course so I could get the ‘M’ for my license.   I miserably failed both the written and riding skills test. ”  He goes on to state that his second time taking the course was a light bulb moment for him; one that changed his life forever.  We are certainly happy the light bulb moment happened and we’re happy he passed the second time around!

Here’s a couple things we think you should know about PauL:

  • Favorite day ride is up to Moab!
  • He loves the look on the face of students when they realize they’re able to do something they thought they never could do.
  • He currently sports a 1995 Kawasaki KLR 650

Please, take time to wish PauL well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS!  We here at TEAM Arizona are proud to have him as part of the family!
