Jerad Naukam

Every now and then we have Motorcycle Safety Foundation certified RiderCoaches transfer in from other states and riding schools.  We have very high standards at TEAM Arizona, so we spend time with transfer coaches before letting them loose on the range on their own.  Jerad came to us with very little prior range experience, but we could tell right away he was eager to learn, excited to share his knowledge of motorcycling, and willing to deliver the type of customer experience we ask our RiderCoaches to deliver.  For these reasons and more, Jerad finds himself TEAM Arizona’s RiderCoach of the Month for December 2013!

When Jerad showed up in June with his big, dotty grin and wild chin hair we were initially suspicious.  His references checked out and his time as a Marine helped us decide to give him a shot.  Without ego, he dug right in and worked hard to improve his coaching and accepted mentoring graciously.  Impressed by his riding skill and willingness to grow as a RiderCoach, we offered him an opportunity to become an Advanced RiderCourse certified coach.  Without blinking, he agreed immediately.  To say he had fun during the training would be an understatement.  The picture above tells the whole story.

A little bit about Jerad as told by Jerad:

  • When I was about 8 or 9 years old, my father bought a Honda XR80 for me and my brother.  When he tried to teach me how to ride it, I told him I didn’t want anything to do with it and burst into tears.  He told me I was going to ride it and I was going to have fun whether I liked it or not.   Since that day the only think I want to do is be on two wheels.  (editor:  Wow.  Great coaching Dad!)
  • I currently have a 2007 Honda Shadow 1100 and a 2007 Suzuki DRZ400SM. I would really love to make myself a bobber within the next few years.
  • My life goal is to change the world, and as a Rider Coach I am given the opportunity to positively change up to 12 people’s lives by teaching them a skill they will hopefully enjoy as much as I do for the rest of their lives.

We see a lot of potential in Jerad.  He could be at the very beginning of a long and fruitful career as a RiderCoach.  We hope to continue to nurture him and provide an outlet for his goal to change the world one rider at a time!

Please, take time to wish Jerad well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS!  We here at TEAM Arizona are proud to have him as part of the family!
