Lee Wright RiderCoach of the Month

Our significant others can play a huge role in motivating us to achieve our goals and fulfill our dreams.  In Lee’s case, his wife wanted him to stop complaining about the riders on the road riding poorly, so she convinced him to turn his complaints into instruction as a RiderCoach.  Lucky for us, two WRIGHTS make a RiderCoach of the Month!

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Lee was sucked into the Golden Age of trail bikes during the 1970’s.  We envision him being a poster boy for On Any Sunday.  He joined TEAM Arizona more than four years ago at our Tucson location, and has recently transferred his coaching excellence to our Glendale Community College location while he earns his degree at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.  He mentors riders continuously and is constantly providing great ideas on how to improve our training program at TEAM Arizona.  Talk about eating, sleeping, and drinking motorcycling!

Lee currently rides a Harley Davidson Night Train, but he’d ride anything as long as he’s not in a cage.  His favorite jaunt is through the Four Corners, over the Million Dollar Highway, and ends in Montrose, Colorado.

Here are some coaching insights from Lee:

  • Silly turns to stupid, FAST!  Know your limits and ride within them
  • Take a course and enjoy it not as a “pass/fail”, but because in the end you’ll be a better rider
  • Riding well isn’t about getting attention, but about the satisfaction of riding well

Please, take time to wish Lee well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS!  We here at TEAM Arizona are proud to have him as part of the family!
