Law Tigers Awards Local & National Motorcycle Organizations Significant Charity Donations In 2019
Law Tigers awards $10,000 grant for motorcycle rider training scholarships to Arizona Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Foundation and $1,000 to Motorcycle Missions Veteran & First Responder program
January 4, 2019, Phoenix, Arizona – Law Tigers announces the award of a $10,000 grant to the Arizona Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Foundation (AMSAF) and announces their $1,000 Hero of The Year winner as Motorcycle Missions.
The grant, which demonstrates support for AMSAF’s mission of promoting awareness of motorcyclists while reducing rider fatalities and injuries, will be used to provide motorcycle rider training classes to the public through a scholarship program.
The $1,000 Hero of The Year award to Motorcycle Missions will go towards helping veterans and first responders with motorcycle therapy to help treat post-traumatic stress disorder.
The Hero of The Year award is a culmination of the Hero of the Month program where Law Tigers recognizes contributors to the motorcycle community with a $200 donation to a charity of their choice. Some recipients in 2018 included Infinite Hero Foundation, Sheemotos, Grant Bourne’s Ride Out of The Darkness, and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 49.
“At Motorcycle Missions we understand that much of the post-traumatic stress [disorder] paradigm is that the need for purpose, camaraderie, and adrenaline is of the utmost importance. Our hope is to encourage our participants to instill a life-long passion for riding and building motorcycles, that will help them enjoy a happy, healthy, and balanced lifestyle after trauma.”
“AMSAF is excited to continue giving more scholarships to help educate new and current riders,” says Mick Degn, AMSAF executive director. “We thank Law Tigers for their support for motorcycle safety in Arizona,” adds Degn. “This continues to be the largest single activity we do to promote motorcycle safety and awareness and to help reduce motorcycle crashes and fatalities. This will allow anyone in the state of Arizona to apply for, and receive, motorcycle training. Since our inception, AMSAF has given out more than 2500 scholarships in Arizona to help educate riders.”
